So another random thought today- well not completely random as I was looking at my bump.com list, and it has drawing up a will as a to-do. My question is if any of you drew up a will before your baby was born, and when did you start? I'm not usually one to bring politics into any livejournal communities, but this one just really, really pissed me off.  There's a bill in Georgia proposing to make having a miscarraige a CAPITAL OFFENSE unless the mother can prove that there was "no human involvement whatsoever in the causation of such an event."

Last post, promise! ;D Basically, we decided on a home birth, and now hubby is talking water birth. He says it seems "odd", but that I may enjoy it better, so he wanted me to ask you wonderful ladies for some opinions/ experiences!

Also, how do you go about birth certificates and all that jazz with a home birth??

I am trying to figure out how to get the forms to create a health care proxy so my partner (whom I am not legally married to) can make medical decisions on my behalf, have hospital visitation, etc., and vice-versa. So I had my little guy at the very end of last month and it's been a battle with work to try and get time off - I've only worked there since August so I didn't have enough PTO built up to take a full six weeks off and I didn't qualify for FMLA since I haven't been there for a year ( Read more... )

Do they take out taxes from short term disability pay, just like they would a normal paycheck? It says that they aren't allowed to deduct insurance.

 litte baby girl in IL was taken from her paents becouse they had a home birth and not a c-section that was recomended. the baby was breach and had some damage done as her sholders were stuck, but they took her away and put her in foster care.
